Remote Site Power Generation

Synchrotech specialises in powering off-grid locations – from isolated communities in the outback to offshore facilities – with reliable, low-maintenance energy systems. We have delivered dozens of remote power stations across Australia and PNG, adapting to each site’s challenges whether it’s extreme heat, monsoonal rain or difficult logistics. When we say no location is too remote, it’s backed by 25+ years of experience keeping the lights on at the edge of the grid.

We know that in remote areas, every site visit is expensive, so we engineer our systems to run unattended for long periods. Our design philosophy is prevention: using high-quality components and fail-safes so that “little things” (like a blown fuse or a leaky hose) won’t shut down your operations. We incorporate renewable energy and battery storage wherever feasible to reduce fuel dependency and runtime hours – for example, adding solar arrays or wind turbines to supplement diesel generators. The result is a hybrid power station that lowers operating costs and ensures continuity even if fuel deliveries are delayed.

One of our flagship remote projects is a fully renewable microgrid deployed at a remote gas well site in QLD – part of the cutting-edge Powerhouse program by Synertec. This solar-battery system, with Synchrotech-designed controls, achieved >99.9% uptime while cutting operating costs by 50% compared to diesel-only power. It’s proof that we not only understand diesel gensets, but also how to integrate new technologies for superior outcomes. Whether it’s a mining camp, a cattle station or a Defence outpost, Synchrotech delivers power you can count on, without constant intervention.

  • Extreme Environment Engineering: Designs for tropical humidity, desert dust, marine salt – ensuring equipment survival.
  • Modular & Scalable: Ability to start with a single unit and expand to multi-unit power plants as a site grows.
  • Defence-Grade Security: For Defence or critical sites, we incorporate secure remote access, redundancy and hardened enclosures.
  • Local Training & Support: Training local operators or providing remote support and 24/7 call-out as backup, to give clients confidence in ongoing operations.
