Cogeneration

Cogeneration or Combined Heat and Power (CHP) is the parallel generation of electrical and thermal energy to provide an environmentally conscious approach to power generation. Heat recovery equipment can be fitted to extract the waste heat from both the engine cooling system and the exhaust gases depending on the amount and quality of the customers heating requirements. Applications for cogeneration heat recovery systems can include building air conditioning, the production of hot water and high pressure process steam.

Luxury resort utilizes cogeneration to provide power and hot water to residents and laundry services.
Roof mounted jacket water heat recovery equipment
Hospital cogeneration installation supplies hot water from jacket water heat recovery.
A further hospital installation utilizes heat recovery from a natural gas powered generator to provide ring main hot water for district heating.
The heat recovered from this Caterpillar gas powered generator provides high pressure steam for a food processing factory.
A natural gas fired 4.5 MW MTU powered cogeneration plant provides economical electricity, steam and hot water to a food processing plant.
